The Vail Veterans Project is a remarkable initiative that brings together veterans through a series of events designed to foster reconnection and empowerment. I was fortunate to be entrusted with this project when my good friend and fellow photographer, Daniel Milchev, handed it over to me before embarking on an international journey.
From the moment I arrived, it was evident that the entire event was meticulously organized and executed. The staff members were not only friendly but also responsive, going above and beyond to create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone could truly enjoy themselves.
As I captured moments of the participants over the course of three unforgettable days, a particular aspect of the event stood out—the bonding that took place during the golf sessions. It was during these moments on the green that I witnessed something truly extraordinary: veterans coming together, forming connections through their shared experiences, both on and off the course.
