Perks of Love - A Short Narrative Romance

Perks of Love is a short narrative romance film created in just 72 hours for the 2025 KickAss Film Festival. The story follows a couple caught in the middle of a complex decision: whether to move forward together — and what that means for their current relationships. Shot under an intense production timeline, this independent film blends emotional storytelling with cinematic visuals. I helped shape the visual tone and lighting design to support the film’s intimate, character-driven narrative.

Beyond The Mat – Valentin Alipiev: Starting from Scratch

Filmed within just 24 hours for the Art of Documentary (AOD) One-Day Film Competition, this short documentary shares the intimate story of Valentin Alipiev, whose entire youth revolved around competitive judo training. Facing a sudden crossroads, Valentin must abandon his athletic dreams and rebuild his life from scratch. Blending visual storytelling with compelling documentary filmmaking, this cinematic portrait explores personal resilience, transformation, and the courage required to start anew.

Video Production Highlight – Adaptive Sports Documentary Film

This powerful short film documents the journey of Lonnie Bedwell, a blind athlete who turned what once seemed like an obstacle into a path to adventure. Produced as part of a larger adaptive sports documentary, the film follows Lonnie’s incredible achievements — from kayaking the entire Grand Canyon to summiting Denali, North America's highest peak. Produced by a collaborative team of creatives, this project was filmed on location using cinematic techniques to enhance storytelling. I had the honor to contribute to the visual execution of this inspiring story about resilience, freedom, and the transformative power of adaptive sports.

Aerial Drone Video – Fall Colors in Crested Butte, Colorado

This scenic drone video captures the breathtaking beauty of Crested Butte during peak fall colors — an ode to Colorado’s golden season. As a licensed Part 107 drone operator, I utilized that skill to film remote and elevated terrain that’s otherwise really hard to access, revealing vibrant aspen groves, and mountain ridge lines painted in autumn hues. This dynamic landscape looks stunning from above. It was a celebration of the quiet grandeur of Colorado’s wilderness in its most colorful moment.

Outdoor Lifestyle Campaign – Heated Apparel & Fat Bikes

This branded content project highlights the versatility of Fieldsheer’s heated apparel and QuietCat’s fat tire bikes, captured across multiple winter locations in Vail and Eagle, Colorado. Showcasing real-world use in cold weather and various terrain, the campaign focused on the seamless integration of warmth, performance, and mobility. In collaboration with Daniel Milchev, who led video and editing, I contributed creative direction and still photography to shape the visual identity of the shoot. This outdoor lifestyle production blended dynamic brand storytelling with authentic adventure imagery, designed to elevate both products in a winter setting.

This short documentary follows the Burn Survivors Program by the Adaptive Sports Center in Crested Butte, a powerful initiative that helps individuals recovering from burn injuries reconnect with the outdoors through adaptive skiing, snowboarding, and mountain sports. Many participants live with physical disabilities and rely on specialized rigs and equipment to navigate the slopes. Filmed and edited on location, the documentary captures moments of resilience, connection, and transformation as burn survivors find healing in Colorado’s high alpine environment. This piece highlights the impact of adaptive sports in rebuilding confidence, community and finding purpose in life.

This short documentary highlights a powerful outdoor recovery program designed specifically for firefighters who have experienced trauma or burn injuries. Hosted by the Adaptive Sports Center in Crested Butte, the program brings first responders together to reconnect with nature and each other through adaptive skiing, snowboarding, and winter mountain sports. With peer support at its core, the experience fosters emotional and physical healing in a high-alpine setting. Filmed and edited on-site, the piece blends documentary video production with immersive, cinematic visuals to tell a story of resilience, camaraderie, and the therapeutic power of movement in the outdoors.

Custom Animation – Crested Butte Recycle Train

Created in collaboration with Sustainable Crested Butte and the talented Ryan Sullivan, this custom animation promotes a local recycling initiative designed to transport hard-to-recycle items to specialized facilities in Boulder, Colorado. Inspired by Crested Butte’s unique architecture and local character, the animated video brings the town to life through playful, hand-crafted visuals. This environmental animation was part of a broader sustainability campaign, using motion graphics and creative storytelling to raise awareness about responsible waste disposal. We focused on blending art, purpose, and community in a visually engaging way.
