Photography Storytelling - Surfing Cape Cod
One of the summers I spent on the Cape, I decided to try surfing. At that point I had already began kitesurfing and seemed like a natural "add-on" to the quiver skills. Well, let me tell you that it wasn't that "natural". Surfing is wayyy harder than it seems!
I would go in and paddle my butt off and wouldn't move pass the white water... After drinking half of the ocean and not turning into a mermaid I ended up picking up the camera and taking more photographs of the surfing culture on Cape Cod then "hydrating" with the salt water of the Atlantic.

It's about capturing the energy and emotion in a single frame. Rising before the sun, I would eagerly drive to Wellfleet, seeking the soft light that bathed the water and the early morning surfers. It was there that I began to understand the essence of my vision.
